Dear IDF;
This time don`t make the same mistake as in Lebanon II. If you take ground then hold it and don`t withdraw until after the cease-fire; don`t pay for the same piece of real estate two, three, or four times over. This will deprive the enemy of its use for rocket-launching pads for the duration of the current hostilities and refocus the UNSC`s problem from that of how to keep Israeli ground forces from going into the Gaza Strip to that of how to get them back out. It puts Israel in a much better position with respect to an UN imposed cease-fire. Retake the Philidelphi Route and shut down the smuggling tunnels. Stick to the rural areas and avoid going into the large urban areas which should be isolated from each other so that the enemy can`t move troops from one to the other. Hamas must be forced to stay on its side of the 1950 armistice line just like Hezbollah was forced to stay on its side of the Blue Line. Good luck and may God be with you. |
