| This campaign reminds me the second war in Lebanon.It started like a retaliation type operation without a comprehensive plan how to obliterate the military capability of the enemy and without taking into consideration that by not succeeding this,you are defeated and the enemy is victorious. Hamas like Hasbollah learned how to survive the air strikes taking cover in civilian areas, and lure Israelis in a ground operation where they are invisible, they have close battle advantage against the Israeli soldiers and as we have seen in the past they know how to destroy Israeli tanks. In addition their operations are not integrated under a central command system, so they are not affected by the Israel bombing of various government buildings. In addition the feeling of victory has real consequences in the future military capabilities and raise their price in the negociations. |
