A ground operation will be meaningless. It, just like the air strikes, will not halt the rockets.
Basic warfare is being discussed here while not acknowledging what it means. Want to halt the rockets? Welcome to the reoccupation of the Gaza Strip. Something no one seems to want. A ground operation that ends that doesn`t last a few decades and doesn`t dramatically alter the treatment of the area in a way similar to what the U.S. did in Japan and Germany will be absolutely meaningless.
Wake the hell up already. I support Israel`s right to retaliate, but there are only two choices available for Israel here: Either work with the Palestinians to build up their own country or keep completely divided from them and let them seek help on their own. Any confrontations they bring about deserves to be responded to. But get these magic solutions that require hundreds of tons of ordnance out of your skulls already. |
