| This type of Rovian rhetoric worked in the US in 2004, but failed to work in 2006 and breathed its last, hopefully, in 2008. It`s pure unadulterated BS. There might have been a majority in the Cabinet for the action. But I`ve read about six different goals stated by different Cabinet members. Even before this started, Israeli polls showed almost 40% opposed the action for various reasons. Shavit is trying to silence dissent by this tactic. Political disagreement is not Treason, except in totalitarian countries. My country right or wrong. When its right to keep it right. But when its wrong to make it right. That is the essence of patriotic political discussion. Patriots can disagree over policy in any democratic state. Of course Stalin would disagree with me as does Karl Rove. |
