| What of the Israeli public and the Palestinian people? Their (majority) voices are also often ignored when these offensives (defensives-if you prefer) are taking place. Proper representation? Ah, the smell of "democracy" is in the air...or is it? I have come to the conclusion that the ambitions of both the extremist Hamas and the Israel "hawkish" parties have become more of priority than the interests of the people. Offense. Defense. What is the difference? Like kids running to their mother to place the blame first. Most of us have already chosen a side. This will not help. It is what warmongering leaders want. Divide and conquer. Pawns. Can anyone say "Proxy War?" International response? Nobody cares. All words. Otherwise, Israel and the surrounding region would already be at peace. Wishing all the best for a new year. Let us heal. |
