Anything less than the destruction of HAMAS will mean a loss for Israel.
Today the EU foreign ministers will meet and again put forward the French proposal. With sanctions if Israel refuses to abide by it.
And Israel will not go down that road. Israel`s problem are elections in Europe and the hatred of the majority of the European public towards Israel coupled with the rise of the extreme far right on the back of economic instability.
Like Barak and Livni wanted this war to boost their re-election hopes. Sarkozy and Brown stopping this war will boost their re-election hopes. |
