| In the Bible, you are supposed to surround the enemy on three sides. Giving the enemy a way out is not for humanitarian reasons, it is for the very practical reason that an enemy that has a way out will take it and not behave like a cornered animal and react in crazy ways. The rocket fire has to stop, but Israel`s response has been overwhelming. The Arabs would rather die than dishonour themselves and the more we surround them on all sides and smash them, the less likely it is that we will ever have a truce with them. |
