Grossman is a decent man, and a patriotic Israeli. He is also blinded by ideology.
The Grossman who suggests that Israel hold fire for 48 hours, seems to forget that it did so for months under incessant barrages. When a Palestinian leadership with the vision of a Grossman arises - then there might be peace. Until then, unfortunately, there are no viable options other then destroying a terrorist organization committed to Israel`s destruction.
Even the Meretz leadership finally accepted the inevitability of conflict. When the Grossmans and Jimmy Carters of the world accept this reality, then pressure might mount on the Palestinians to facilitate a peaceful resolution of this conflict. |
