| When one people is oppressed by another they will always find a way to strike back at them. It has always been so in history. The counter strikes may be ineffective but, in the long run, they will get more effective if the struggle lasts long enough. The important thing before the world audience is that Israel kills far more civilians than the Gaza militants do. This is one of the two basic facts of the struggle, the other being the unrelenting Israeli settlement expansion which has been universally condemned. Add these two facts together and you have a recepie for a long and bloody conflict. |
