| Was this an editorial or a letter from a Libyian? It reads like Arab world propaganda. I don`t live in Israel, so perhaps I`m missing something. I read (maybe it`s not true) that hamas is the elected government of the Gazan people. I read that Hamas declared the truce over and have been sending as many as 80 missles over the border into israel. Perhaps that, too, isn`t true. However, if these things I`ve read are true facts, then it would seem obvious that Israel not only has the right, but an obligation to do whatever is necessary to stop it. It would be nice if it were possible to carry out its duty to its own citizens while refraining from causing pain to the civilian populace, but that`s not always possible. Hamas is not a shadow organization. They are the governing body, democratically elected. The civilian population understood the chance they were taking. Where does Hamas get its troops? Who are the rocket firers? Aren`t they Gazans? |
