| MGN "Galant proposed treating it [Hamas] as a force tantamount to a fortified infantry division with anti-tank capabilities, deployed in defensive formations" in an "urban setting". That is a very accurate appraisal. So, cut the Gaza Strip into 5 pieces by establishing corridors from east-to-west in rural areas and isolate the urban areas from each other, but don`t go into the Gazan cities and towns with ground troops. The UN will be freaking out by then, but at least Israel will be in a good position to force the UN to impose a cease fire with terms favorable to Israel and not in accordance with Hamas` outrageous demands. |
