| I agree that self defense is a right. That is why Hamas has been at war with Israel and that is why Israel is at war with Hamas. How do we get out of this circular thinking that has left us, jew and palestinian, holding on to each other with a fatal embrace. Can we learn to hold on to each other with a different philosophy? How about justice for the palestinians is freedom for the jews? or if we give palestinians in gaza access to food, medicine and fuel they might become more reasonable and amenable for compromise. In some situations, you can achieve much more with acts of kindness than you can with fire and brimstone. |
