| "you call Israel a colonial regime, I wonder what words do you have for Hamas controlled Gaza or Fatah controlled West Bank, or for Mubarak controlled Egypt" Well, I`d have thought the difference was quite obvious. Gaza and the Palestinian West Bank have Palestinians as their leaders in Hamas and Fatah, and Mubarak is Egyptian. Natalie is quite correct to call Israel a colonial regime, because Israel is currently militarily occupying and colonising with her citizens the West Bank which it seized from the Palestinians in 1967. All western European democracies--and America--have years ago given up their colonies. The time for colonising land belonging to other people is long past. Only Israel continues to do this in the West Bank...incidentally, making life hell for the Palestinians already living there. Of course Israel is well aware that her occupation and colonisation of the West Bank is illegal under International Law, the Geneva Convention and the UN.... |
