| Both sides are negotiating with a mix of threats and implied offers. Hamas fire increases, Israel lets a supply column through, Hamas fire slacks off, Israel`s intended operation becomes limited -- maybe very limited, Livni flies to Cairo... I hope everybody knows what they`re doing and no rocket enjoys exceptional success. In any case, surely there must be a more efficient way. If the process here was represented as a machine, it would definitely remind one of Rube Goldberg. |
