It would be a lot easier and less bloody if Israel just lobbed a single rocket or artillery shell on random targets in response to each rocket and artillery shell launched by Hamas. Then every time Hamas fired something over the wall into Israel proper, it would be just like sending a rocket or artillery shell down on their own people.
It certainly would be a lot cheaper. And it would resonate in the minds of the people in Gaza that each bomb sent to Israel was a bomb dropped on their neighborhoods. |
