If there was a sign about Bibi -It is too big for HIM to handle, would we automatically jump to conclusions that it is because he is a man?? Likewise- if someone called him Binyamin- would it be a sexual slur? Fatherly-motherly - patronising yes ...but gender oriented??
WHY do feminists use feminism as the ultimate in protective armor? Why should this sign be about her being a woman..this is an inferiority complex...the word,her,is not a slur..unless of course you want it to be.
Livni will prove herself - or should I say ITSELF- as a politician. The signs can be used in a sexual campaign - as defense by those who have an inferiority complex about women in politics. It is the easy card to play- but a shame that so many women feel they need to use it. Any woman who feels strong would not even see the reference. And even if they did mean it as a reference to her being a woman---so what..it is such a low card that it is a shame that Livni would even deign it with a response. |
