| IDF tore through Jenin like a hot knife through butter. Primary obstacle to wiping out Hamas` offensive capability is Olmert and his weenie DM, Barak. No need for house-house urban fighting, very achievable objectives for even an IDF commanded by these two idiots is 1) re-occupying all open farm land between the Green Line and the major Gaza cities/built-up areas, to rob Hamas of rocket/mortar firing zones, 2) PERMANENT occupation of the 4-5% of North Gaza used to shoot kassams at Sderot/Ashkelon (the 95% of Israelis in rocket range), and 3) cutting off Rafah from the rest of Gaza with a no-man`s-land, so tunnelling/smuggling comes to a halt. Then pound Hamas targets with bombs/artillery if/when they fire remaining rockets, until they run out for good or surrender. Restrict foreign media propagandists to "pools" like US does in Iraq. EU/UN/US can`t complain, they had their chance in Lebanon, and blew it. French Navy can evacuate Hamas survivors to Tunis, like they did PLO from Beirut. |
