Very few people in the West are proud of Colonialism or how Christianity was brought to the people in the colonies - but it is a rare Muslim who sees anything wrong with the Muslim Conquest that destroyed cultures and languages in hte present-day Muslim world. Muslim rule has (so far) only ended in part of the Balkans, Spain and Israel, but Muslims have difficulty accepting that (imagine an Englishman in 500 years wanting to return to the glory that was India.) Muslims condemn the Crusades, but what right did they have to that land? I think it`s two dogs fighting over a bone that`s not theirs.)
Islamic Spain was for a time a better place for Jewish people than the rest of Europe at the time - but it was no paradise of equality. 5000 Jews killed in the Granada massacre of 1066. |
