| Through the power of the sword - pretty much like everywhere else. You either convert or die. There were exceptions for Jews and Christians; they could choose to pay a special tax instead. Laws were enacted to "encourage" conversion. Zoroastrians are "tolerated", but from time to time there are incitements against them, with the term fire-worshiper used to refer to them. |
