| The axis of security in the region should consist of Iran, Turkey, Israel, Iraq, and Pakistan and Afghanistan as observers with option to join. I don`t see any relevance for Egypt because, although the Westerners are want to include the puppet government of Egypt in the ME matrix, Egypt really is far away from the region and it does not carry any political and economic weight in the ME, again despite the Westerners insistence to the contrary. Saudi Arabia is a no brainer because despite its enormous wealth, it has no real political influence in the region. It usually pays for the allegiances of some Wahhabi/Salafi fringe groups that usually self-destruct. |
