| Like all other terrorist organizations they survived by playing the game of brinkmanship. Either because they knew that their lives is short or they may be faded & forgotten if they are not in the news. Hamas-Gaza could be a bonus or a curse, depends on how Israel deals with them. A bonus, by showing the World,how trifle this entire Palestinian movement. And unworthy of the international support the world has given them all these years. A curse if any solution for the Palestinian-Israeli conflict will be based on trusting any of them, both Hamas & Fatah. Both are made of the same material with only paper thin difference between them. Talk is not only cheap but it is different from being action. Neither Hamas nor Fatah have all the Palestinians behind any of them. Dissent was always the policy of the majority among the Arabs and the Palestinians. Disloyalty to leadership made very difficult for them to unite. This is the reason they always opted to religion. |
