| He seems to think that if Likud wins, like magic, Hamas will be cowed by a great Israeli military operation. Dream on little one. Israel didn`t spend all this time denying that they were occupying Gaza just to blatantly be occupying Gaza again, lock stock and barrel. The pretense has been the "deployment" of the IDF back to the Gaza border. If Israel had any hope of controlling Gaza it will have to send in thousands of ground troops. It will be costly, and bloody, and will likely lead right back to where things stand now. Except that Israel will fully and without the ability to pretend otherwise be occupying Gaza in force @ 18 million per day to take care of the occupied. This is what you wish for Arie? Peace is a lot cheaper but it seems that all you clamor for is blood. |
