| `syria is a rogue terror state. it has been facilitating terror for decades. syria has been intimately involved in all wars and aggressions against israel. hezbollah is armed and trained by syria. all palestinian terror organisationns are headquartered in syria. syria is under investigation by the iaea for building a secret nuclear reactor. syria is refusing to allow in inspectors of the iaea to further inspect the site.` All these things are true - and yet, this is with whom Israel must negociate, if you wish to explore the possibilities of peace on your northern flank. Egypt and Jordan once looked quite unsavoury as peace partners, too, for many of the same reasons. But your peace treaties with them have held now for a long time. I would be most careful negociating with Syria - but I would not pass by the chance of doing so. Don`t be waiting too long for the messiah, yourself. MV |
