Hamas has been democratically elected, and have used that fact to rain Qassam missiles into Israel. Israel has an absolute right to retaliate.
I am getting tired of repeating myself but, once more, here goes: Israel`s presence in the West Bank, Jerusalem and the Golan Heights is not illegal. I refer you particularly to the Second and Fourth Hague Conventions which clearly state that territories acquired by a country fighting a defensive war need not be returned (in other words, it`s Israel choice if she wants to return territory -- as she did with Sinai). The U.N. also passed a resolution equating Zionism with racism, so given that bias, Israel is well within its rights to ignore such blatantly biased and illegal resolutions. The World Court? Israel has not ratified the convention which require her to abide by World Court rulings. Neither has the U.S. and quite a few other nations. Stop spouting nonsense that is not supported by international law and the facts. |
