there is a problem with the jurists analysis. By not shooting at terrorists imbedded in so-called civilian areas, other civilian areas (in Israel) suffer the brunt of indiscriminate bombing. Hence, what this really boils down to is a choice. Which civilian population will Israel protect, its own or the Pals, incidentally but only incidentally, who voted for the barbarians knowing they were going to attack Israeli civilians.
There are courses taught in several universities called "Tragic Choices". If in fact innocent Pals are killed, that is a tragic choice but so to is not doing nothing which kills innocent Israelies. |
