At this critical time for the state of Israel, how is it possible that Israeli diplomacy blunders from one self-inflicted wound to another? How can Israeli diplomats manage to keep putting their foot in their own mouth?
They are supposed to represent all that is good about Israel and use their talents and abilities to win friends and influence people. Instead their staggering incompetence allows Israel to be seen to be linked with Georgia against Russia, they try to get the UN to act against Iran while they ban the UN envoy Richard Falk and now they have goaded the UN General Assembly president into publicly accusing them of lying.
Am I alone in expecting a more mature approach? |
