The short history of Israel has taught us that there never was a moment that land exchange led to peace and / or stability. By giving Syria a part of the Golan, does it stop financing and stimulating third parties (terrorist groups like Hamas and Hezbollah).
Land for peace will not bring any peace, but frustration in Israel over lost land and forced departures like in Gaza and laughter on the Arab side over this deal (gaining land and nothing in return for it).
It is about time that the Israeli government starts seriously about peace and delivers her own map to Syria claiming more Syrian territory if these hostilities won`t stop and settling the Golan within permanent boundaries of the state of Israel and ends this discussion forever. This Syrian proposal is not worth discussion seriously! |
