Not sure why there`s so much reaction against this guy - seems to me what he did was a fairly clear act of political protest. He`s clearly very media savvy and he got his point across - with bells on.
Worryingly he`s been locked up for "insulting the state". Is that really what all those British and American soldiers died for? (not to mention many thousands of Iraqi civilians)
Bush is very fond of saying that before his glorious liberation there was no freedom of political expression in Iraq, if he had any integrity (he doesn`t) then he`d be asking for this guys release. |
