| Many more Arabs in Iraq have died at the hands of other Arabs than Americans. Saddam killed hundreds of thousands (if not millions) of his own countrymen. Arab insurgents are killing Iraqis almost every day. What`s more, thousands of Americans have died bringing freedom and democracy to Iraq (which is why, I suppose, we saw so many pictures of Iraqis welcoming the Americans after the US armed forces made such short shrift of the Iraqi army). I find it amazing that America is the object of their hatred. Why don`t they hate the insurgents with equal passion? Afraid they`ll be killed if they do? |
