| Early next year the Palestinians mandate to the governments of Fatah & Hamas will expire. Both Govnts will have no mandate to speak for the Palestinians. Both of them will have to go back to their roots as movements.None of them will have the authority to negotiate Peace with Israel. Time for Israel & the world to erase these two organizations from the map. Both failed to realize the Palestinians aspirations. "PLO was basically a propaganda machine designed by Nasser to take the wind out of the sail of various small but glamours liberation groups" The Arabs -Thomas Kiernan P-400. It was recognized by the UN in Oct-1973 as an Organization under the name of Fatah.That Organization is no more as recognized by the UN. It is no longer the body that speaks in the name of the Palestinians. By Jan-2009 no Palestinian organization can claim to speak in the name of the Palestinians & authorized to do so. Palestine will be just an old wife`s tale; time due for new policies. |
