Michael, Have you ever been to Gaza, Ramallah or the west bank and spoken to Plaestinians or are you basing your judgement on what you read in the papers and hear on the BBC?
I ask becaue I have worked with Palestinians in Bethlehem, Gaza and Ramallah and until the first intifada they were not held at gunpoint as you describe.
Even during and after the first intifada they preferred to have the israelis employ them than to shut them out of the country because they were guarranteed work. The skilled palestinians hated Arafat and his cronies becuase they emebezzelled all of the aid money received and only the lazy welfare grabbers like our own lazy welfare grabbers wanted to fight.
There exists a ton of willing labourers there that just want to work for a good wage which they only get in Israel.
