religions are tightly interrelated in this conflict. a religious re-education of the two nations towards toleration would require at least 20 years (a generation). there is no time for that today, time is too stringent. it is therefore time for the new US-administration under Obama to impose a just peace with painful compromises for both parties of the conflict, on both arabs and israelis, to end the conflict as soon as poosible by pursuing a comprehensive and durable peace treaty. once this is established and controlled (by the USA, EU and the UN) all issues concerned can be eventually dealt. arabs and/or israelis alone are unfortunately too foolish, too fanatic, too religious, to shortsighted, and too irresponsible in order to solve the current problems by themselves. ruben-for-obama
