| My goodness. Former US President Jimmy Carter is one of the most committed persons for peace that the latter quarter century and nascent new millennium has ever seen. Wrongly blamed for the fall of the Shah that started long before his time in the mid 1950`s by the US CIA, and wrongly blamed for the ensuing Islamic Revolution that started ten years after that first US intervention. And here you are positively foaming at the mouth over him trying to meet with all parties before trying to be a fair and impartial monitor of upcoming Lebanese elections. Your diatribe says far more about you than it does about Jimmy Carter. Haaretz rightly called him "royalty" for the treaty he brokered with Egypt for Israel. Indeed he has done phenomenal work improving peace and the human condition for decades. Would that you tread a mile in his shoes. |
