| Palestinians are held captive by nationalism imposed on them by others. In ordinary circumstances, people emigrate to places that are better for them and their families. In this case,the Arab League imposed an artifical national identity, and it has proven to both provide NO benefit to the people and to be un-workable. The Arab nations (except Jordan) refuse to permit Palestinians to become citizens and lead normal lives. Kuwait expelled 400,000 without a care. Even were we to assume that a Palestinina state is formed,it will be a nightmare for decades for ordinary Palestinians. If people want to emigrate, its wrong to restrict them in the way that the Palestinians have been restricted. |
