Just like any other reservist, especially active reservists, she should report as ordered. She signed a contract and swore an oath. This IS what she signed up for.
At the beginning, they were recalling (backdoor drafting) women who had last served in Vietnam and who had never had weapons training. Some went to Iraq; some went to Afghanistan. Some died, too.
She should take her risks just like my kids do.
Her other option is to accept less than honorable discharge with forfeit of all benefits and pensions. It is desertion, just not under fire. |
