He needs to be able to claim that the Palestinians are willing to negotiate with anyone otherwise Likud will simply (if cynically) cry "we have no-one to talk to!".
But having declared that he will talk to anyone then Abbas can sit at the dinner table, and hope that Someone Else *cough* Obama *cough* then prods and pushes Bibi towards the chair opposite him.
It is a dead-set given that Bibi won`t want to sit down, but it is not a certainty that Bibi can refuse that invitation to dine. |
