| Did you push for journalistic openness? You know, freedom of the press? Did you demand that HAMAS adhere to the docterine regarding prisoners of war? How about asking HAMAS, as a member of the PA, to adhere to the rules of the ICRC, as is required following its acceptance into the global aid group? Didn`t think so. Of course what you fail to mention in your diatribe is that not only DO the Palestinian prisoners have access to such contact with their families, indeed even if only indirectly through other prisoners, they have a means of redress through the Israeli court system. By the way, did you get a chance to meet with Gilad Shalit`s attorney in Gaza? Probably not. Let`s call Gilad Shalit`s captivity for what it is. . . Hostage, not POW. |
