| Israel announced intentions to release 231 Palestinian prisoners as a goodwill gesture... But, the total number of people arrested by Israel since the beginning of this year to more than 5,000, including 700 from the Gaza Strip. Lately Israel arrested 390 Palestinian residents, including 87 in the city of Hebron, of whom more than a dozen are patients. Last month saw a noted increase in the detention of children below 18 years of age, as Israeli forces seized 65 children, compared with 33 in October.
