| Please note the first article of the Declaration of human rights below and how it declares all human beings are equal and endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in the spirit of brotherhood. Well, where is Israel`s sense of all human beings are equal in dignity and rights when its violates its neighbors and occupy their land and houses in violation of internatal law and human rights and indeed Ten Commandments. And where is Gilad`s conscience in opposing this wrong doing by his government ? It would be lawful for him to have opposed this illegal occupation too. I am willing to give him the benfit of the doubt and say no one told him and in that sense he was misled Yet how can people on the sidelines of this conflict today remain silent and not stand up and say how the army`s and settlers presence in the terriories is wrong and must end for the good of all. That would be the moral voice the committee could offer today and make a difference "All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights.They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood. |
