It certainly is about time we were not brave- but deadly - where Hamas and Gilad Shalit is concerned.
It is about time we stop following the carrot put in front of our noses and make holding Shalit so costly to Hamas, and the Palestinians who voted them into power, that they will bravely give him back.
As for Gilad- and promises of taking care of him. To take care of someone can mean many things. I think we should take care of Hamas for example. Sooner than later.
We saw what happened with the last two hostages..and how they were taken care of. What price did Hezbullah pay for this?
There are ways to make Hamas and the Pals pay...but not very nice ways...and then maybe our "supporters" around the world, in the UN and in the Muslim world might get angry at us. And seeing just how we can be swayed by their anger ...then justly so. We do so want to make friends and influence people..so not much chance of anything effective coming from Israel in the near future. |
