| This is an atrocious idea. It would never, ever have a deterrent effect against an intransigent, fundamentalist Islamic regime who have even stated the possibility of being willing to sacrifice HUGE portions of their population to fulfill what they see as their Koranic "mandate"--the total destruction of the Jewish people. Only a preemptive, draconian attack upon Iran has any chance of stemming their success. Sometime in life, one has no singular great option--only risky and dangerous ones. I, for one, count an attack upon Iran as a far less lethal choice than dealing with the annhilation of the Jews down the road. The risk with Iran, with its obsession with mission, martyrdom and hatred of the Jews, simply leaves no other rational choice.... |
