As a self-styled dove - I ask why doesn`t the government order the Army to empty Bet Hanun of all its citizens - and then just flatten the entire district, so as to prevent future rocket-launches?
Of course, this would be done after issuing warning-leaflets to the residents of Bet Hanun -that after the next rocket-launching from their village, they would be given 24 hours to evacuate.
This does NOT exactly conform to Western morality, and it certainly wouldn`t look good in the foreign media. But those same media - now full of pleas that Israel should allow food and supplies into the Gaza Strip - do not even mention the rockets falling daily on or near our towns and villages.
Of course, if, chas vechalila, one of those rockets resulted in multiple Israeli deaths and injured - then, of course we would get world headlines and sympathy.
