Glad to see folks like you are now at least qualifying your remarks about President Carter, after eight years of the Bush Administration`s incompetence. Carter`s no longer `the worst` president, just `one of the worst`.
But I don`t suppose folks like me could ever convince folks like you that Carter actually accomplished a good many positive things as President, both for the US and the world - (the US`s first comprehensive energy-independence policy, the first significant inclusion of minorities and women in an administration, the SALT II treaty with the USSR, peace between Israel and Egypt, the peaceful return of the Canal Zone to Panama, the emphasis on human rights in US foreign policy, the Soviet Afghanistan embargo ... ) - so I won`t even try.
I just hope folks like you use your brains and think a little more carefully about Carter`s record before you sound off. Probably too much to ask for ...
