Brzezinski is in effect saying that Israel needs to take permission to defend itself from an enemy determined to wipe it off the map. Does the US take such permission? Of course, Israel should approach the matter with wisdom by studying the players and their situation in the region carefully, but the final decision rests with Israel to tackle a regime bent on destroying it (either directly or thru proxies). The bottom line is that if the Iran threat is not managed diplomatically, and in a timely fashion, then it will have to be dealt with by force.
Iran is in fact very lucky it hasn`t been nuked so far for its ferocious genocidal threats against Israel. |
