| President elect Obama should not press for an Israeli - Palestinian peace settlement. Actually he should turn this age old conflict over to EU`s Mr. Solana stewardship. Obama as a pragmatist, will realize Israel is in the throws of a political election. And no real negotiations will take place during that period. Notably, it will be months after the election before a position will be formulated, on the Israeli side. It`s absolutely useless for Obama to risk his prestige or inherited good will. Besides, it`s time for Israeli politicians to swim in their own quagmire. |
