| that it`s really up to Hamas to indicate if they want to join civilization and then become more engaged in the political process (I`m paraphrasing because I don`t remember exactly, as I was listening while unpacking my groceries and the kids were in Hebrew school). But anyways, he`s right here as the onus is on Hamas to either continue to side with the extremist elements or attempt to bridge the gap with President Abbas`s Fatah organization, who`s negotiating the peace agreement with Israel. Of course nothing Israel has done deterred Hamas on the whole over the last few years, because it`s irrationality versus reason, on the most part. And allowing your Gaza population of 2/3 to subsist on food aid as opposed to regional economic development and mutual coexistence with Israelis as of years past (and Hamas is predominantly responsible here for this outcome) is a tragedy. |
