| An invasion is not necessary. What is missing is the retaliation against Hamas leadership that is responsible for the daily missile barrages on the Israeli civilians. Rockets would stop, no doubt, if Israel would deliver a short and devastating message to the political wing of Hamas and its top leaders, its infrastructure and support base, then pause and observe whether or not the delivered message has been understood. If not, deliver a bigger message. This is how you fight terror, not by highly trained helicopter pilots operating multi-million dollar equipment “killing” worthless and abandoned rocket launchers by an Israeli rocket that costs infinitely more than the target itself and whose operating crews can be replaced from the eager and disposable thousands in waiting. Yes, a limited number of Gaza civilians will die. This is unfortunate and should be minimized but cannot be used as an excuse not to do anything. Barak has reached his level of incompetence and must go. |
