Actually, I find your question quite justified. I only wonder if military action would help. On the other hand, I cannot really believe that those groups in the Gaza strip ask themselves if their actions are from some strategic point of view useful. Sometimes I think they just fight because it`s a prestigeous and culturally accepted way to live for a boy (btw, not only in the East). If they`re unable to live a decent life in Gaza, at least they get some recognition by their communities when they fight the traditionally agreed enemy. Live or die as a martyr, it`s all the same. One could argue that, if their own lives are all the same for them, anyone who loves his own life and has to fear those persons, could kill them at will. But I would certainly agree that we cannot wholly be made hold responsible for the cultures in which we are raised and personally I would refuse to state about anyone that he/she has no potential to appreciate a more peaceful lifestyle. Difficult decisions.
