| Every political reality coming in the next few years will weaken Israel`s negotiating position with Syria. Israel should have closed the deal under Sharon before Leb. War II. New elections will weaken Israel`s negotiating position, no matter who is elected. Because Israel still won`t have a leader with a strong mandate to rule. The US withdraw from Iraq will take the pressure off of Syria and weaken Israel`s negotiating position too. As will pressure from Obama for peace in the region. As will the Hariri issue fading away. Israel should close the peace deal TODAY. |
