| It isn`t religion in general that is a problem. Mankind has always had religion. The very fact that Michael must point out a single eposide of one madman, and ancient wars not started by Jews as examples of Judaism causing war is itself an indictment of his theory. Wars, even when given the veneer of religion, are almost always about lust for worldly goods and power between communities. Except for a few cases, including jihadi-ism, and the Nazi`s Final Solution (as opposed to other aspects of WWII), war is almost neverdriven by pure ideology, or the "my god is bigger than yours" hypothesis presented by Michael and BS. If religions were banished, then wars deliniated by nationalism will replace "religious wars". If nationalism is expunged, another ism will emerge. As long as people eat and need to clothe and shelter themselves, war will happen when resources run scarce. |
